Week 4 and I am still unprepared for NYCT, Prelims and the big As! HOW?
My plans to mug like crazy failed miserably with occasional peeps at you-know-who and frequent distractions by anyone who has legs and can walk or just the cat running up the 2nd level.
Chemistry ASP has been brain-draining as usual with Mrs Lim going: is it too slow? Shall we go faster? I am getting a bit bored. I finally understand where Mr Chang got his sadism from. Haha.
Physics ASP has been fun and entertaining with us teasing Sam about the “smaller than 3 joke” <3? Got it? Hahaha.
GP MSP, in my opinion. Not very enriching. And I need to stop falling asleep during WONG’s class and feeling energetic in ECON class! Haha.

Shao cong’s speech moved a lot of us to tears. It was a very emotional moment, letting the memories flood back as he repeats the phrase “343 days”.
343 days of non-stop working was shit tiring, but the company made it better.

apparently some people are curious as to how did find time to study when i am so busy with extra cirricular activities.

it started out with:

so after spending few hours thinking about what she said, i decide to blog about it! so here it goes!

erm, actually, i dont really know, but i just sorta of did it. LOL. serious. come to think of it, jc1 has really been hectic. the only time you see me really mugging my ass off is like few days before my promos. LOL. didnt mug for block test, cause the day before block test (particularly my econs paper), i have OTC theory phase. exciting huh life?

so, i dont know how i did it. but i just happens to wade through my various commitments and heavy academic workload. i really wonder, how will my life be if i didnt became an officer, if i didnt join council. cause you see, if i didnt wanted to become an officer, i wont join uniaid. neither will i join council.

so it all boils down to why did i so bo liao go join otc. truth is, i dont know. it all started out big aspirations to do these and change that. but as time goes by, your passion is directly proportionate to it. you start to get tired of this and that. and all became a mere routine for you. and next time you know it, you are pulling strings of vuglarities out of your mouth to cope with the immense amount of stress you are facing. imagine, without officership. i am free on all weekends and school holidays, i dont have to entertain emails, i dont have to go all the way down to lavender to have meetings, or back to cchy to have trainings.

but without it, i will never enjoyed priceless moments of satisfaction like seeing your cadets' POC. Man and it's desires. sigh. plus, it's inline with my ultimate goal of making positive difference to people's life. (now i am finding all sorts of excuses to justify my wrong decision)

and guess what, it's never easy to pull out from an org. so i stayed on till now. but i guess they maybe harbouring thoughts of kicking me away due to my inactive participation (reasons: council and academic workload) sian ;(, maybe i should have joined otc after my big As.

Out of school commitment done.

within school now.

so i joined council, i learnt a great deal. school is like my second home now. time spend in school is > than time spend at home.

i didn't manage my time well, so i had to dropped my 4h2s. no doubt there are still wenjie in council who is keeping his 4h2s. but i never failed to ask myself each day, if i have lesser commitments, maybe i could also keep my 4h2s?
but this thought is making me depressed with all the "what ifs and should i's" swimming in my head, trying to create myriads of possibilities. like as if my brain has infinite space to waste on it.

i wasted half an hour of my life on this. fml. shall stop for now. need to go sch for duty!

YJC ORIENTATION 2010!
taking the lead to lead! is offically over!

it has been the biggest pile of workload for me ever since i got invested into council.

planning for amazing race is no joke man!
recee-ing yishun -> no joke, super hot and tiring.

thou not every single ounce of your effort will be appreciated, but still, i gonna heck care all. it's freaking over. screw communications errors, poor briefing skills, logic, and people not giving you reply when you ask them to vet stuff. (i am damn angry about it, so i not gonna care as to who toes am i going to step on)

amazing race is hectic, crashing of ctgs inevitable like what i explain to many. talk about situational ethics. Point system in my point of view is fine!! i honestly don't mind people spamming the bonus points as like what the 22nd shermaine says, it will make the JC1s happier, who is gonna remember the games they played in JC1 orientation? but i believed the relentless banjahs they did all over campus and all over yishun is bound to bring back fond memories. talk about flexibility. heng, this spamming of bonus points brought the point disparity among CTGs closer.

next issue, brought up. overwriting of authority. this is a serious issue that needs to be addressed, and i totally agree with it. being from an uniformed group, hierarchy and ranking is what that keeps discipline in tact (correct me if i wrong). so if you have send documents to your upper heads for vetting and they DID NOT give you a single reply can simply means two things, 1, they cant be bothered with what you are sending 2, they have no qualms with regards to what you are proposing or sending. Final does not always means final. if situation changes we have to change as well. when i initially planned for 30 ctgs, they told me the number is reduced to 26 ( i muttered a whole string of profanities under my breath and carried on slogging my arses off, god knows how hard it is to planned and having screaming right into your face telling you how problematic it is and how much it sucks, it pains your heart if you didn't realise. talk about lending an extra helping hand? life sucks, fml. then, heaven plays a joke on you, principal says no water game hallelujah. you changed the games, ctg number upped to 30, FML. so i didn't studied for test, i worked the night off for amazing race with mad. life sucks, i failed both tests. fml.

actual day, screw-ed up the bloody briefing. game master not checking venues before they leave. zzz. people suddenly taken ill. having double job scope is never easy. but i am glad to have capable game masters who tide me through the waves. much thanks to them. no wonder we are SLs! hahah.

and teachers complain about the long distance. why cant we challenge the limits? push through the limits? they are not babies! they are JC students you know? if you are gonna ban this game and ban that forfeit, what's gonna happen when they leave the institute and joins university's orientation and get a cultural shock? the more you try to stop it, they more it will occur. anything that can go wrong will go wrong.

ok, but i am a little pleased with myself, when monil say good job done for amazing race, even if he don't really mean it.

jam and hop was ultra fun!!! jumping and singing to no body's business! haha life rocks. it's a great ending to the entire orientation. i think ms suryati nearly let her hair fly free and loose during the ending. hahahhaha thou drying up school compound and auditorium was excruciatingly tiring!! haha. but it's fun! i think i bonded more with jervy after this orientation!! i still got more to tell him!! hahah.

today has been a very meaningful day for me. it brought solutions to some of the questions i posed to myself yet at the same time it raises new questions for me to ponder upon.

questions like:

am i a competent first aider?

am i ready to save someone's life when the need arises?

am i capable to be responsible for a person's life or death?

it's no wonder that only the cream of the crop practises Medicine.

hello people!

yours truly completed the camp phase of OTC 2009! *CLAPS*

awesome i tell you. like slimming camp!
little food, little sleep, loads of exercise.
a little bit of leisure and a whole load of fun!
ahhaa. TANGO got alot of crazy people! seriously manz. hahah.

we ran 4.8km on the first day, ard 6km on the second day (half of it in the rain :D) + ultimate challenge (super tiring!!!), 4.8km on the third day and lastly, 16km route march on the last day!!! :D

SUPER ZAI RIGHT! AND i only slept for 5 hours throughout the 3d3n camp. hahha.
food super little. and they always make us exercise on empty stomach. so mean to us. ahhaha.

HMM, never thought i could complete all the above. but then, sir William make it possible.
fat, but good! haha. he is inspiring. and definitely, A GREAT OFFICER. :D

okay, physical aspect aside! i upgraded my spiritual and mental state through the camp! life altering? yes, definitely. :D best camp i ever attend. challenge the limits. you set the limit! what's your standard?

3months fly past, and here I am, still stuck in YJC. everyday, I ask myself Y(WHY) JC?? no idea, I don’t know either. and so, I rush past every single day, unclear of my purpose and not knowing what's gona happen next.

Ocip is postponed due to the HIN1 INFLUENZE A, SIANX! Another chance lost à the trip that could possibly alter my outlook towards life. Anyway, the postponed would mean that I am free to go for OTC, 2009. the shortest OTC ever. Happy? Uncertain? Not really sure. Z5 prep course is this weekend. Burn like crazy sia. And the entire week of camp, wah seh, AWESOME! Lol

YEA, I’m losing my sanity soon after getting 5 Us for physics. Can cry sia. Zzz. Don’t really wish to drop it but reality says otherwise (my ability proven otherwise!)

Ok and so, I got into Yishun Junior College, not by choice (I mean, isn’t it obvious??) T.T

Okay, and it turn out to be not that bad. I mean orientation was kinda of fun. And our mass dance are way more interactive than most jcs, if not all. Hahah.

Jam and hop night was great, because we are great?? Or mayb the organizing comm is great. Either way, it was a success, jumping like crazy! Haha. but ridiculous things do happen. like how did i manage to get an A1 FOR CHUM?? when i didn't finish any SBQ questions? not to mention, i wrote only a few lines for each question. zzz. bizarre huh? and i went to the GEOG exam hall with empty brain cause i didn't study. know nothing about droughts and i attempted on that. never done any food questions before, yet i did food for human geog. how's that huh? i got B3? but English?? i got 6? a freaking 6?? i just couldn't believe it okay. damn.

next, amths & phy! never passed any of them during prelims, and yet i got a B3 for both. special thanks to junhong who helped me for my sciences and maths during the preparation period. thanks alot! :D

SO FAST RIGHT? haha. ytd, in the midst of POC, i have a sudden urge for the course to continue. haha. out of no where, i don't want the whole thing to end so soon. and when the song "high" was played. all of my advance memories seems to flood back! awesome memories i guess. time files. 2 yrs back i was sitting there, marching there, standing there awaiting my sgt promotion. 2 years later, here i am, in the ncoc committee and poc committee. and looking upon the current batch of cadets as instructors. maybe not everyone is experiencing that. but the feeling was weird, awesome, great. hahah.

sudden ignition of passion i guess. that sense of satisfaction when your whole group can passed out and the putting on of badges for them. super shiok! :D intrinsic achievement i guess. ahha.

NCOC CAMP IS finally over!

i am the group instructor for standard group c-CHARISMA. & my group screwed up the campfire performance. oh well. hahah.

long time no go camp, felt like a rack of old bones over there.
slept for less than 10 hours during the camp, cause 92s and 191 went for a little chat after campfire. as you see, before the camp, i was the only 92 over there! so, i tend to get a little excited when i see my ex standard mates. hahah.

slept on cold hard cement floor cause i didn't bring sleeping bag. not forgetting the long benches where youwei pei shi and me rested for the night. ultra cold, shivering like mad when i woke up. youwei is pro, never attend ncoc before. first man for fac. 8 points for l1r4. now studying business in ngee ann if i rmb correctly.

camp was great! so was the hike, drenched to the skin since i didn't bring poncho. zzz. night confidence was fun too, check out our human mattress for the thrust. :D & jin tang couldn't walk straight. LOL. yue xiang was so stressed when he kena course ic. hahah. so was peihung, i thought she nearly hyperventilated. LOL. & Stacy totally went crazy in midst of the camp. LOL. double LOLs.

jops or was it her sister was so shocked when they saw Stacy's nerd look. haha. oh yea, jops and friends were back for campfire night, so was Edward. grow taller as usual. afiq too. zzz. i think they can hi5 above my head. T.T

well, this has been an eventful year. experiencing so many "wonderful" stuffs. ie, getting last in class, failing 4 of my subjects, being cadet leader, being framed in both class (start of the year, the voice recording thing) & sjab, being monitress, getting eagles award and cca colours award, being promote to sec4g, seeing my article on newspaper, doing sinful thing in a holy place, surviving through those horrible mocks, taking my second major national exam (the Olevels 2008!) etc. all and all, i have grown and mature. just trying to record down, after all, today is my last day of being 15.

tomorrow is the 1st day of me being 16, getting to enjoy lots of privilleges, like watching nc16 movies (yay!).
